Mehmet Bey ile tanışmamızın kökleri, yıllar öncesine dayanıyor. 2014 yılında ablası Mehtap Hanımın düğün çekimleri için bir araya gelmiştik. O zamanlar, ablası Mehtap Hanım ve sevgili eşi Harun Bey, muhteşem bir dış mekân düğün çekimi için bize güvenmişti. Mehmet Bey ise o günlerde ablasına destek olmuş, bize yardımcı olmuştu. Aradan geçen zamanın ardından, Mehmet Bey ve sevgili eşi İrem Hanım, kendi özel günlerinin yaklaşmasıyla birlikte ön görüşme için yanıma geldiler. Bir Düğün Hikayesi
Mehmet Bey’in gözlerindeki sevinci tarif etmek zor. Onun heyecanını, mutluluğunu görmek gerçekten unutulmazdı. İrem Hanım ise her zaman gülümseyen bir yüzle etrafa neşe saçıyordu. Ancak, İrem Hanım’ın gülümsemesi, içtenlikle, kalpten geliyordu. Bu ikisinin bir araya gelmesi, birbirlerine olan bağları, içtenlikleri gerçekten beni etkilemişti. Güzel bir gelin ve yakışıklı bir damat ile birlikte geçecek olan bu özel günün hikayesini çekmek benim için bir ayrıcalıktı. Her biri birbirine bağlı, birbirine sevgiyle kenetlenmiş bu çiftin, düğün günlerinde yaşayacakları anları belgelemek benim için gerçekten büyük bir onurdu.
Ön görüşmemizde, detayları en ince ayrıntısına kadar ele aldık ve düğünleri için planlar yapmaya başladık. Nikah saatinin erken olması sebebiyle, düğün günündeki heyecanın koşuşturmaca yerine daha keyifli ve sakin bir atmosferde yaşanmasını istediler. Bu karar, gerçekten doğru bir seçim oldu. Düğün günündeki telaşın ve heyecanın dışında, ayrı bir gün ayırmak çiftin birbirleriyle daha fazla zaman geçirmesine ve bu özel anların tadını çıkarmasına olanak tanıdı. Dış mekân fotoğraf çekimi için seçilen gün, doğanın güzelliğiyle birleşen çiftin mutluluğunu ve aşkını en iyi şekilde yansıttı.
Düğün günü sabahı, erkenden kuaförde buluşma kararıyla başladık. Kuafördeki buluşma o kadar neşeli ve keyifliydi ki, kelimelerle tarif etmek güçtü.
Gelin hanımın teyzeleri, özellikle gelinden daha güzel olmaya çalışan biricik kardeşi, arkadaşları ve kuzenleriyle birlikte, kuaför salonunu adeta bir neşe ve enerji kaynağına dönüştürmüşlerdi.
İrem Hanım, her adımında neşe ve coşku yayarak, kuaför salonunu adeta bir neşe sokağına dönüştürüyordu.
Kuafördeki detay hazırlıkları başlamıştı. Ben de farklı açılardan düğün video klibi için çekimler yapıyordum. Herkesin enerjisi yüksekti ve gelin hanımın detay işlemleriyle birlikte, kuaför salonu adeta bir hazırlık merkezi haline gelmişti. Gözlerimiz, bu özel günün başlangıcında, neşe dolu anlarla doluydu.
Gelin İrem’e, sevdiklerinden harika bir sürprizleri vardı. Renkli balonlar eşliğinde sunulan pasta ve şampanya, o güzel günü daha da özel kılmak için mükemmel bir dokunuştu. Bu güzel anların bir daha tekrarı olmayacak olsa bile, fotoğraf gerçekten o anı durdurmak için buluşların en güzeli bence.
Mesleğimi gerçekten çok seviyorum. Çünkü insanların hayatlarına dokunuyorum, insanların en mutlu oldukları o anlarda var olmanın hazzını size anlatamam şu an… Düşünsenize etrafınızda ki enerjinin yüksekliğini. Bu yüzden sanırım hiçbir zaman yaşlanmayacağım 🙂 Sürekli gülümsemek ve insanların en güzel günlerinde onların heyecanına şahit olmak, benim için vazgeçilmez bir deneyim ve belki de şu anda bu yazıyı okuyan senin düğününde de benzer bir deneyim yaşayacağımı hayal edebiliyorum.
Kuaför hazırlıkları sırasında, beklenmedik bir anda devasa bir araç gözüme çarptı. Kıyıya demir atmış bir gemi gibi ilerleyen bu araçtan, sevgili Mehmet’in gelişini gördüm. Onu tebrik etmek yerine, anın doğallığını ve samimiyetini yakalamak için hemen kameramı hazırladım. İrem Hanım’ın yüzünde beliren heyecan ve mutluluk ifadesini, bu özel anı ölümsüzleştirmek adına kaydetmek istedim.
İrem’in gözlerinde parlayan bir neşe ve içten bir gülümseme vardı. Mehmet’i karşıladığı o an, adeta içindeki tüm sevgiyi ve mutluluğu dışarıya yansıtıyordu. Bu muhteşem an, işte tam da bu karede gizliydi. Fotoğrafa bir kez bakıp geçmeyin, o anı derinlemesine inceleyin. Bakışlar arasındaki o derin anlamı ve duyguyu yakalayın. Kıymetli anların tadını çıkaran İrem ve Mehmet, bu özel günlerinde yaşadıkları mutluluğun tadını çıkardıktan sonra kuaför hazırlıklarına devam ettiler. Mehmet’in gözlerindeki heyecanı gözlemlediğimde, o günün getirdiği mutluluğu ve coşkuyu açıkça görebiliyordum. Gerçekten, gözler çok şey ifade ederdi. Sevgili kuzeni Ali ile birlikte gelmiş olmaları, eski günleri yad etmek ve birlikte güzel zaman geçirmek için harika bir fırsat sundu. Ali ile olan tanışıklığımızın da bu özel günü daha da anlamlandırdığını hissediyordum. Bu güzel günün heyecanı, herkesin içini coşturmuştu.
Kuaför detayları yavaş yavaş sona ererken, İrem gelinliğini giymeye hazırlanmak üzere odasına gitti. Mehmet ise birazdan kendi odasında damatlığını giymek için gidecekti. Ben de detaylı video çekimleri için kameramı hazırlamış, bu özel anın her anını ölümsüzleştirmeye hazırdım. Güzel buluşmanın ardından, gelin hanımın evine doğru yola çıktık. Damat bey, konvoy ile gelmek üzere İrem’i eve bıraktıktan sonra kendi akrabalarıyla buluşmak üzere yola çıktı. Mehmet’le koordineli bir şekilde hareket etmek için detayları konuştuk ve sağ olsun, en ufak bir sorun çıkmadı; her şey harika bir şekilde ilerledi.
İrem hanım ile birlikte, evde aile fertlerinin o güzel güne şahitlik edeceği anları ölümsüzleştirdik. Harika bir düğün yemeği vardı. Ev yapımı baklava, keşkek ve su böreği… Uzun zaman olmuştu böyle güzel düğün yemeği yemeyeli.
O sebeple, yemeği hazırlayanların gerçekten ellerine sağlık!
Mehmet’le önceden konuştuğumuz gibi, gelmeden önce beni arayacak ve drone ile çekim yaparak gelecekleri konvoyu detaylı bir şekilde alacaktım. Nitekim, planladığımız gibi oldu ve harika bir görüntü eşliğinde gelen konvoyun o muhteşem anlarını yakalamış oldum. Heyecan dorukta, muhteşem anlar yaşanıyor! Ve ben yine unutulmaz bir anı yaşadım. Sevgili Mehmet’in biricik ablası Mehtap Hanım ve eşi Harun Bey’i orada görmek beni gerçekten mutlu etti! Bu güzel anlara tanıklık etmek harikaydı. Kalabalık korna sesleri eşliğinde gelirken, aşağıda kalabalık yavaş yavaş sıralanmaya başladı. Sevgili Mehmet ve babası yan yana daireye giriş yaparken, arkadan eş dost geliyordu ve gelin hanım İrem’i evden çıkarmaya gidiyorduk. Bu muhteşem anlar, adeta kalpleri coşturan bir ritimde akıp gidiyordu.
Kapının arkasında, İrem Hanım’ın kız kardeşi Zeynep kapıyı açmıyordu. Bu, onun en doğal hakkıydı tabii ki, bu an yaşanırken Mehmet Bey’in yanında olan eniştesi Harun Bey devreye girdi. Hemen Mehmet’e yardım etti ve gerekeni fazlasıyla yaparak kapıyı sonuna kadar açtı. Bu sıcak jest, içeriye giriş anını unutulmaz kıldı. Herkesin yüzünde tebessüm, kapıların ardında başlayan bu mutlu günü daha da özel kıldı. Bu an, sadece bir kapıyı açmak gibi basit bir eylem değildi; aynı zamanda aile bağlarının, dayanışmanın ve sevginin güçlü bir simgesiydi.
İrem Hanım, salonun ortasında heyecanla bekliyordu ve bu heyecanı her halinden belli oluyordu. Gözlerindeki parıltı, yüzündeki tebessüm ve titreyen elleriyle bu güzel ilk an, tam da bu şekilde görüntülenmişti. Tüm davetliler bir araya geldiğinde, herkesin gözünde gülümsemeler eksik olmuyordu. İrem’in sevgi dolu ağabeyi, kuşak bağlama merasiminin ardından kardeşini koluna takarak evin kapısında değil, apartmanın kapısında sevgili eşiyle buluşturacaktı. Kapıdan çıkarken, İrem ve Mehmet’in mutluluğuna şahitlik ediyorsunuz. Zaman durmuş gibi, dualar eşliğinde bu güzel anın tadını çıkarıyorsunuz. Dualarımızı ettikten sonra, davul ve zurnanın eşliğinde o güzel danslarla bu harika günü kutluyorduk. Herkesin yüzünde neşe ve mutluluk vardı. Dans eden her çift, sevgi dolu bakışmalarıyla, birbirlerine olan bağlarını güçlendiriyor ve bu özel günü kutlamanın keyfini çıkarıyordu. Bir ara, ben de kadraja girmiştim, ancak bu kare o kadar güzel ki, işte bakın! Her anı ölümsüzleştirmek için bu fotoğraf, günün anlamını ve coşkusunu mükemmel bir şekilde yansıtıyor.
Her şey mükemmel devam ediyor. Herkes eğleniyor ve herkes keyifli… Dans görüntüleri tüm mahalleye yayılıyor, düğün günü davul zurna ile birlikte herkesin kalbi aynı ritmi tutuyor gibi. Gülüşmeler, şakalar ve samimi sohbetlerle dolu bir atmosfer var. Herkes, bu özel günü en iyi şekilde kutlamanın keyfini çıkarıyor ve birbirlerine olan sevgi ve saygılarını paylaşıyor. Şimdi sıra Nikah saatine geliyordu.
Eğlencenin doruklarından sonra evden çıkış tamamlandı ve nikah anına doğru yola çıkmaya hazırlandık. Harika bir konvoy eşliğinde, keyifli bir şekilde Sarıyer Nikah Dairesi’ne geldik. Nikah salonuna gelin ve damat odasına girmeden önce göz atmak için içeri girdim ve taze çifti görmek istedim. (Bu arada birçok nikah dairesi gezdim ancak Sarıyer Nikah Dairesi’nin fotoğrafçıları kadar ilgili, misafirperver ve yardımsever hiçbir başka ekip görmedim. Gerçekten harika insanlardı ve hepsine içtenlikle sonsuz teşekkürlerimi iletiyorum.) Heyecanları tavan yapmıştı, gözleri birbirinden başka bir şey görmüyordu. Ben de o heyecanı bırakıp hemen salonda yerimi aldım ve o anons geldi. Mutlu çift, herkesin önünde resmi bir şekilde evet dedikten sonra, artık mutlu bir yuva kurmanın ilk adımlarını atmış oldular.
Nikahın kutsal bağları tamamlandı ve davetlilerin tebrik kutlamalarının ardından, Sarıyer’in gizemli ormanlarını andıran muhteşem bir mekânda harika bir eğlenceye hazırlanmak için yola çıktık. Mekân, adeta doğanın gizli kapısı gibiydi ve içeri adım attığımızda etrafımızı saran huzur ve doğanın büyüsüyle karşılaştık. Davetliler, bu eşsiz atmosferde buluşmak için sabırsızlanıyordu.
Yolda ilerlerken, mekânın konumunu alıp davetlilerle birlikte adım adım ilerledik. Nihayetinde o güzel mekâna ulaştığımızda, daha da keyifli anlar yaşamak için mükemmel bir ortamla karşılaştık. Mekanın fotoğrafçısı gelin ve damadımızın en güzel anlarını yakalarken, ben de düğün hikayesine video çekerek devam ediyor ve özellikle video çekimlerime odaklanıyordum. Hava tam bir ilkbahar havasıydı ve eğlence, tüm hızıyla devam ediyordu.
Bu güzel anları, bu iki muhteşem insanla birlikte yaşamanın verdiği mutluluğu hissetmek gerçekten eşsiz bir deneyimdi! İşte böyle unutulmaz anılarla dolu bir düğün günüydü. Bir Düğün Hikayesi
Hava yavaş yavaş kararmaya başlıyor ve fotoğraf çekimleri sona ererken, mekâna doğru geçiş yapılıyordu. Ben de bir nevi ailenin fotoğrafçısı gibi hissediyordum kendimi, bu yüzden herkesi tanıyormuş gibi rahat bir şekilde oturuyor ve yemek faslının sonunu bekliyordum. Ve işte o güzel an geliyor, gelin ve damadın o ilk dansını izliyoruz. Herkes hayranlıkla bu anı seyrediyor, bu muhteşem anı yakalamak için araya girip detay görüntüleri çekmek için kenara çekiliyorum. Gözlerim kameralarımın objektiflerinden başka bir şeyi görmüyor, bu özel anı ölümsüzleştirmek için sabırsızlanıyorum.
Bu süreci eksiksiz ve kusursuz bir şekilde tamamlayan çiftimle birlikte, o anları yakalamak için geri planda kaldım. Gelin ve damat, masalara hoş geldiniz demek için gezdiklerinde, benim için dinlenme zamanı gelmişti. Onların bu güzel anlarının tadını çıkarırken, ben dışarıda aileden tanıdıklarım ile sohbet ediyor, günün özelinde detaylar hakkında konuşuyorduk. A Wedding Story: Irem & Mehmet – Istanbul Wedding
Our connection with Mr. Mehmet goes back many years. In 2014, we came together for his sister Mehtap’s wedding shoot. At that time, his sister Mehtap and her beloved husband Harun entrusted us to capture their magnificent outdoor wedding. Mehmet, back then, was there supporting his sister and assisting us. As time passed, Mehmet and his lovely wife Irem came to meet me for a preliminary discussion as their special day approached. A Wedding Story
It’s difficult to describe the joy in Mr. Mehmet’s eyes. Seeing his excitement and happiness was truly unforgettable. Ms. Irem, on the other hand, radiated joy with a constant smile, always cheerful. But Irem’s smile was sincere, coming from the heart. The bond between them, their genuine connection, left a strong impression on me. Capturing the story of this special day with a beautiful bride and a handsome groom was a privilege for me. Documenting the moments of such a loving and connected couple on their wedding day was truly an honor.
During our preliminary meeting, we went over every detail meticulously and began planning for their wedding. Because their ceremony was scheduled for early in the day, they wanted the excitement of their wedding day to unfold in a more relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere rather than a rush. Therefore, we decided to plan the outdoor wedding photoshoot for a separate day. A Wedding Story
This decision turned out to be a perfect choice. By dedicating a separate day outside of the wedding day’s excitement and rush, the couple was able to spend more time together and savor these special moments. The chosen day for the outdoor photoshoot allowed the couple’s happiness and love to shine beautifully against the backdrop of nature’s beauty.
The wedding day started early in the morning with a decision to meet at the hair salon. The gathering at the salon was so cheerful and lively that it’s hard to describe with words.
The bride’s aunts, her adorable sister who was trying to look even more beautiful than the bride, friends, and cousins had turned the salon into a source of joy and energy. Irem herself, with each step, was spreading joy and excitement, transforming the hair salon into a lively place.
The detailed preparations at the salon had begun. I was filming from various angles for the wedding video clip. The energy was high, and with the bride’s meticulous preparations, the salon had become a buzzing center of activity. Our eyes were filled with joy from the beginning of this special day.
Irem’s loved ones had prepared a wonderful surprise for her. A cake and champagne presented with colorful balloons added a perfect touch to make that beautiful day even more special. These details crowned their celebration, further emphasizing the day’s significance and joy. You’ll find the photos capturing these moments at the end of this story. A Wedding Story
Even though these beautiful moments may never happen again, photography, in my opinion, is one of the most wonderful ways to freeze those moments.
I truly love my profession because it allows me to touch people’s lives, to be present at their happiest moments. I can’t express the pleasure I feel from being surrounded by such high energy. Perhaps that’s why I’ll never grow old. Constantly smiling and witnessing people’s excitement on their most beautiful days is an irreplaceable experience for me, and I can imagine having a similar experience at your wedding as well, dear reader.
During the preparations at the hair salon, a massive vehicle suddenly caught my eye. Like a ship anchored at the shore, I saw dear Mehmet’s arrival in that vehicle. Rather than congratulating him, I immediately prepared my camera to capture the natural and genuine moment. I wanted to capture the look of excitement and joy that appeared on Irem’s face as she greeted him, preserving this special moment forever.
Irem had a sparkle of joy and a genuine smile in her eyes. The moment she greeted Mehmet, she seemed to be radiating all the love and happiness inside her. This magnificent moment was hidden within that photograph. Don’t just glance at it; take a deep look. Capture the profound meaning and emotion in those gazes. After savoring these precious moments, Irem and Mehmet continued with their preparations at the salon, enjoying their happiness on this special day. Sometimes, it’s essential to set everything aside and take a break to enjoy these unique moments as they prepare. I deserve a short break too, don’t I? 😊
Observing the excitement in Mehmet’s eyes, I could clearly see the joy and thrill brought by this day. Truly, eyes can express so much. Coming along with his beloved cousin Ali offered a fantastic opportunity to reminisce about old times and enjoy each other’s company. The familiarity with Ali added even more significance to this special day. The excitement of this beautiful day filled everyone’s hearts.
As the salon preparations came to an end, Irem went to her room to get into her wedding gown. Mehmet, on the other hand, would soon head to his room to put on his tuxedo. I prepared my camera for detailed video footage, ready to capture every moment of this special occasion. I was eager to show this union to all their loved ones. A Wedding Story
After a wonderful reunion, we set off for the bride’s house. The groom dropped Irem off and then left to meet with his family members, planning to arrive with the wedding convoy. Mehmet and I discussed the details to coordinate smoothly, and thanks to his help, everything went perfectly.
Together with Irem, we immortalized the moments when her family members witnessed this beautiful day. There was a fantastic wedding meal with homemade baklava, keşkek, and su böreği. It had been a long time since I’d enjoyed such a lovely wedding feast.
The meal preparation team truly deserves compliments for their hard work!
As previously discussed with Mehmet, he would call me before arriving so I could capture the arriving convoy in detail with drone footage. Indeed, everything went according to plan, and I managed to capture the breathtaking moments of the convoy arriving in all its glory.

Excitement was at its peak; magnificent moments were unfolding! And I once again experienced an unforgettable moment. Seeing dear Mehmet’s beloved sister, Ms. Mehtap, and her husband, Mr. Harun, there made me truly happy! Witnessing these beautiful moments was wonderful. As the crowd arrived with blaring horns, the people below began to line up slowly. While dear Mehmet and his father entered the building side by side, friends and family were following, and we were on our way to bring the bride, Ms. Irem, out of the house. These incredible moments flowed by in a rhythm that filled hearts with joy.
Behind the door, Ms. Irem’s sister Zeynep wasn’t opening the door. Of course, this was her right, and as this moment unfolded, Mehmet’s brother-in-law, Harun, stepped in. He immediately helped Mehmet, going above and beyond to open the door wide. This warm gesture made the entry truly unforgettable. With smiles on everyone’s faces, this day that began behind closed doors became even more special. This moment was more than just opening a door; it symbolized family bonds, solidarity, and love. Ms. Irem was waiting with excitement in the middle of the living room, and her enthusiasm was evident in every way. With the sparkle in her eyes, the smile on her face, and her trembling hands, this beautiful first moment was captured just as it was. When all the guests gathered, smiles filled everyone’s faces. Irem’s loving brother, after the sash-tying ceremony, would escort his sister to meet her beloved husband not at the house door, but at the building entrance. Those who wanted to witness these special moments eagerly left the elevators to go down the stairs and take their places. Mr. Mehmet was waiting at the entrance for his beloved wife, and then, the moment arrived…

After offering our prayers, we celebrated this wonderful day with those joyful dances accompanied by drums and the zurna. Faces were filled with joy and happiness. The sparkle in people’s eyes and the joy of the dancing couples turned the atmosphere into a fairytale. Witnessing these moments was a heartwarming and soul-nourishing experience. A Wedding Story
Each couple dancing, with loving gazes, was strengthening their bonds and enjoying the celebration of this special day. At one point, I even ended up in the frame, and what a beautiful shot it was! This photo perfectly reflects the meaning and enthusiasm of the day, immortalizing every moment.
Everything was continuing perfectly. Everyone was enjoying themselves, and the joy was contagious. The sound of dancing filled the neighborhood, and with the drum and zurna, it felt as if everyone’s hearts were beating in rhythm. Laughter, jokes, and heartfelt conversations created a warm atmosphere. Everyone was enjoying celebrating this special day in the best way, sharing love and respect with each other. This is what a real wedding celebration is all about!
Now, it was time for the ceremony.
After the peak of excitement, we finished leaving the house and prepared to head towards the ceremony. With a wonderful convoy, we happily arrived at the Sarıyer Marriage Office. Before the bride and groom entered their rooms, I took a quick look inside to see the fresh couple. (By the way, I have been to many marriage offices, but I have never seen a team as attentive, hospitable, and helpful as the photographers at the Sarıyer Marriage Office. They were truly wonderful people, and I sincerely thank each one of them.) Their excitement was through the roof, and they couldn’t take their eyes off each other. Leaving them to enjoy their excitement, I took my place in the hall, and then the announcement came. After the happy couple officially said “I do” in front of everyone, they had taken the first step towards building a happy home.
The sacred bonds of marriage were completed, and after the guests’ congratulatory celebrations, we set off for a magnificent venue reminiscent of the mystical forests of Sarıyer to prepare for a wonderful celebration. The venue was like a hidden door to nature, and as we stepped inside, we were surrounded by the serenity and magic of the natural surroundings. The guests were eager to meet in this unique atmosphere.
As we moved along, we took the location of the venue and walked step by step with the guests. Upon reaching that beautiful venue, we encountered a perfect setting to enjoy even more delightful moments. The venue’s photographer captured the most beautiful moments of our bride and groom, while I continued the wedding story through video, focusing especially on my video shots. The weather was like a perfect spring day, and the celebration was in full swing.
Feeling the happiness of experiencing these beautiful moments with these two wonderful people was truly unique! It was a wedding day filled with unforgettable memories. A Wedding Story
As dusk began to fall and the photo shoots came to an end, we transitioned to the venue. I felt like a part of the family, sitting comfortably as if I knew everyone, waiting for the meal to conclude. And then, the beautiful moment arrived, and we watched the bride and groom’s first dance. Everyone watched in admiration as I discreetly captured detailed shots of this moment, eager to immortalize this special scene.
Staying in the background to capture these moments completely and flawlessly with my couple, I took a moment to rest as the bride and groom greeted each table. While savoring their beautiful moments, I chatted with familiar family members outside, discussing the special details of the day. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to dear bride Irem and dear groom Mehmet for arranging a seat for me.
